School Experience Program (SEP) is only a week away. Every time SEP comes near, I always have this special feeling. Hey, I am not lying. It is really that 'special' which sometimes makes me unable to sleep Yes, I am nervous. I am nervous if I will be able to do my best to teach, if I will be able to get the students' heart, if I will be able to finally apply the knowledge I have learned, and so on. But that nervousness also makes me excited to see and measure my teaching ability in the real school situation My nervousness for SEP would probably be bigger this semester because I will be collaborating with the teachers to make lesson plans, to deliver materials, etc. I think one of the ways to overcome my nervousness is to prepare well anything I would need for my teaching Besides how to make lesson plans, how to engage students at the classroom, this time I want to try to embed Social Emotional Learning in my teaching. In my opinion, understanding students' social and emotional state is really important during teaching and learning processes. One of the examples is to encourage the students not to be afraid of failing. Moreover failing the school exams which has been big fear to them Understanding students' social and emotional state would not be easy I believe, but I will try my best to learn too Keep looking down because I must remember that I still need to learn so that I will not drown. #socialemotionallearning #schoolexperienceprogram #sampoernauniversity
